A Whitestown police officer is in the hospital right now hit and injured by a suspected drunk driver last night

Police tell us the officer was using an emergency median turn around when he slowed down with red/blue lights activated and was struck by a silver Honda Crosstour sedan traveling at a high rate of speed.

The officer and suspect were taken to Methodist Hospital with moderate injuries.
